Photo Appendix

Some shots of us, the manor grounds and a trip to Kilkenny, home of Smithwicks Ale.

A redheaded Irish baby, in his pram, being pushed down a gravel path in a walled kitchen garden, by his au pair. Seriously.

Donica on the path with a load to tote. Yodel-eh-hee-hoo!

Smithwicks Brewery welcomes us.
So, the Smithwicks logo isn't a castle but this ancient Franciscan abbey where the art of brewing was introduced to the area.
Our tour guide craft-pours our beers.

But the tour was so long and boring that we had to pound our pints in just a couple of minutes and then dash!
This is Gutsy Gus. We named him this after he persisted in following us around the garden, eating worms turned up by our weeding and digging. A brave fellow, and cheeky bastard.

Tending to the verbena in the glasshouse.
